Giant-killer Leeds Utd record a back-breaking win at Everton

Raphinha scored his first goal for Leeds to sink Everton and earn his side a fourth win since winning promotion to the Premier League.

BBC Sport reported that the Brazilian winger, who joined from Rennes in October, beat Jordan Pickford from the edge of the box.

Leeds’ Jack Harrison had earlier headed against the post after having an earlier effort cleared off the line.

Everton were frustrated as keeper Illan Meslier saved from Abdoulaye Doucoure, Mason Holgate and Richarlison.

Before he scored, Raphinha had been denied by Pickford’s excellent first-half save in front of watching England boss Gareth Southgate.

Leeds climb to 11th in the table while Everton remain sixth.
