Giroud advised to leave Chelsea

Olivier Giroud should leave Chelsea in the January transfer window in order to play more regularly.

That’s the view of France national team manager Didier Deschamps who might just be developing concerns over the striker ahead of next summer’s European Championships.

Despite signing a one-year contract extension earlier in the year, Giroud has found first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge limited this season due to the emergence of Tammy Abraham.

With Euro 2020 fast approaching, the 33-year-old needs to be playing regularly if he’s to make the final 23-man squad.
