Goal Blunder: Enyeama tips Balogun to overcome setback

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama believes that Leon Balogun has the ability to overcome the setback and bounce back stronger in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Balogun’s defensive error gave Madagascar their first goal in the 2-0 win over the Super Eagles in the last group B game on Saturday and allowed the Indian Ocean islanders topped the Group B table with seven points.

Brighton’s defender has however apologised to Nigerian over the blunder and accepts full responsibility for his actions. Commenting on Balogun’s apology and acceptance of mistakes, Enyeama urged
Balogun to brace up for the challenges ahead in the competition and forget the mistake he made in the team’s last group game against Madagascar.

“You will bounce back stronger. We all make mistakes as humans and as footballers. Focus more on the task ahead. There is more to life and this competition than just lost match,” Enyeama tweeted via @vinpee.
