Good news for Rohr as Musa returns for Eagles, Benin AFCON clash

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr is expected to have his captain, Ahmed Musa back in the squad ahead of next month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic.

The Eagles captain who has missed the Ukraine and Brazil friendly matches resumed training with Saudi Arabia club, Al Nassr on Tuesday.

The player copped the injury in Al Nassr’s 1-0 away win against Al Fateh on August 31 which kept him on the sidelines for over a month.

He was replaced by Fahad Bin Jumayah a minute before the hour mark with his knee heavily bandaged by the club’s medical team.

The 27-year-old who has made only two appearances for the Saudi League Champions this season was seen running around the pitch in a picture posted on the club’s Twitter handle.
