Gotv Boxing Night 17: Stop womanizing, smoking, drinking, Prince Fatai warns boxers

Former National Lightweight Champion, Prince Nurudeen Fatai has admonished youngsters in boxing to make sure they eschew some certain things if they want to become better boxers in the nearest future.

In a chat with Sportinglife.ng in Lagos, Fatai who will be taking on Ridwan “Scorpion” Oyekola in a national lightweight challenge at the Gotv Boxing Night season 17 coming up at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos on December 28, said that for a boxer to be better in the future, he must stop womanising, smoking and drinking.

“If you want to become a better boxer in the future, you must stop womanising, smoking and also drinking because these are the major things that run down the capacity and ability of a boxer. I have stopped all this a very long time due to my passion for the sport, I make sure l do my normal workout and training so as to be
better than my counterpart,” he said.

Speaking further, Fatai added:”I want to beg every upcoming boxer out there that they should try to emulate the culture to train as much as possible if they want to be a better boxer than me.”

Fatai popularly called ‘Prince’ for the third time in a row was knocked out by Oto Joe boy Joseph in the National Lightweight title fight at the Gotv Boxing Night 10 in 2016.
