Grab invitation to Super Eagles with both hands, Ezenwa tells NPFL stars

Home-based Super Eagles captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa says the team is looking forward to a good outing against Mexico.

The team resumed camping and trained twice at the Gold Project in Abuja on Wednesday ahead of the July 3rd fixture in Los Angeles.

Speaking to the media after their training session Ezenwa said the team is working very hard in training and looking forward to the game.

“As you can we are done with first training session and it was wonderful. Everybody is working according to instructions of the coaches and we are looking forward to the game against Mexico in Los Angeles,” he said.

Ezenwa who will captain to the team against the Mexicans however urged the players to grab the opportunity with both hands and make the country proud.

“It’s a privilege to represent 200 million Nigerian, we just have to give our best and make the country proud.”

“It wasn’t easy meeting for the first time, but some are here for the first time, while others are returning, but the most important thing is solidarity and what we can achieve together.”

“So, I’m talking to them and let them understand why they are here and hopefully, we will make the country proud, ” he summed up.
