Griezmann is ‘NOT a priority’ for Barcelona

Barcelona are not seeing Antoine Griezmann as a priority this summer, despite previously being desperate to secure the services of the Frenchman.
During the 2018 summer transfer window, Barcelona looked to be closing in on signing Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, only for the player himself to make a bizarre short documentary revealing his decision to stay.
Griezmann has since recently announced he is now ready to leave Atletico, but in a twist of events Barca no longer appear to be interested.
Spanish publication Marca report Barca president Josep Bartomeu ‘has no intention of signing Griezmann’ at the moment, with the situation a complex one.
Griezmann would command a hefty fee for any potential buyers, even though his release clause has actually reduced in value ahead of the summer window.
As part of his contractual agreement with Atletico, Griezmann’s release clause has dropped to £105million (€120m) from a even more eye-watering original cost of £175m (€200m). Bartomeu is said to be having doubts over the true value of the 28-year-old, who is also expected to command around £15m (€17m) per season in salary.
