Guardiola having selection headache against Fulham

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has options all over the pitch for the first time since possibly the league cup final in February

City are up against Fulham this afternoon with Guardiola excited with the options available at his disposal as they enter the final part of the season.

City will give everything they can to win each of the tree remaining trophies, and they could not be in stronger shape for the final assault on silverware.

Among those not guaranteed a starting place, Leroy Sane, Aleks Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus who were the big winners from the international game from a City point of view. Sane impressed in a new-look Germany team, Jesus was among the goals for Brazil and Zinchenko surprised everyone again with how good he was at defensive midfield against Ukraine.

There is next to no chance of the youngster staying in that position ahead of Fernandinho or Ilkay Gundogan but he has a decent chance of staying at left-back after outshining Fabian Delph in the FA Cup game.

The task for Sane and Jesus is more difficult given the standards of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, and Bernardo Silva this season but they are at least better placed to challenge for a spot in the first team if they can take their confidence gained into training.

Everybody is keen to talk up the remaining twists and turn in the title race and there may well be one at Fulham, but there really shouldn’t be.

Guardiola’s sides have not made a habit of underperforming; the December defeat to Crystal Palace was the first time in nearly two years that the Blues had lost to a team outside the top six.
