Haaland Saga: Agents Raiola, Alf-Inge deny demanding €20m each

With Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland easily one of the most sort after striker on the globe right now, the stakes are high and even the negotiations are not cheap either.

Haaland’s main two representatives Mino Raiola and his father Alf-Inge have been accused of demanding €20m (£17m) each as part of a proposed deal to take their client to Barcelona this summer.

The Catalan giants are one of a number of clubs believed to be keen to sign the Borussia Dortmund forward in the upcoming market.

The agents met with Barcelona new President Joan Laporta last week to discuss a possible switch to Camp Nou.

According to RAC1, Raiola has made it clear that both he and the centre-forward’s father would want to receive €20m (£17m) each as part of a move to the La Liga outfit.

The report also claims that Haaland would demand that Lionel Messi stays at Barca in order to reject a number of clubs in favour of making the move to Ronald Koeman’s side.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also all said to be in the running for the Norway international, who has scored 33 goals in 32 outings at club level this term.

However in a swift reaction Raiola threw pebbles at the accusation describing it as fake news.

The 53-year-old posted a simple message on Twitter which read “fake news travels quick and far” on Sunday night, as speculation over Haaland’s future continues to intensify.

Haaland’s entourage are understood to have planned talks with Premier League clubs ahead of the reopening of the transfer market, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all linked with a move for the 20-year-old in recent weeks.
