Heartland hopeful despite poor takeoff ready for Plateau united

 

Premier League side Heartland, are optimistic ahead of Match Day 4 against Plateau United on Sunday.

The Scientific boys sometimes dubbed Nazi Millionaires are searching for their first point of the season. The Owerri landlords who have conceded   five goals and scored three are reportedly in a hurry to arrest the drift.

Heartland go into Sunday’s match fresh from a 2-1 defeat by Nasarawa United, two goals in each half handed the Solid Miners their first away win at the expense of the hosts who were left to sing lamentation songs over a match they had been tipped to win.

Nasarawa’s duo of Chinedu Ohanachom and Silas Nwankwo handed the visitors the much needed victory making Shedrack Oghali’s 62nd minute goal a mere consolation.

Fillers from Heartland’s camp however indicate a new determination to seek points even on the road, an indication that battle against Plateau United in Jos will not be treated with levity.

Heartland assistant coach, Ezekiel Onyegbule blamed the loss to Nasarawa United on carelessness on the part of his boys, but expressed optimism that mistakes will be corrected.  “The Scientific Boys are ready for Match Day 4 against @plateau_united” the club hinted Thursday.

In other matches lined up for Sunday, Nasarawa United will be squaring up against Kano Pillars, Rangers settle scores with Gigawa Golden Stars; Lobi Stars tackle Warri Wolves while MFM host South Westerners Sunshine Stars.
