Heartland spot players at grassroot tourney
The management of Heartland FC of Owerri have discovered two talented players that could strengthen the Naze millionaires squad at the second edition of the Ikukuoma Mbaise Unity Football Tournament.
Heartland’s acting General Manager Promise Nwachukwu made this disclosure after taking the kick off of the football competition at the Ezeagbogu Secondary School ground with 2019/20 Champions, Okpofe Football team playing out a 1-1 draw with Nnarambia team who they defeated to lift the trophy in that edition.
The match was witnessed by dignitaries led by the Federal House of Representives Member representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitte constituency, Hon. Emeka Chinedu, Mbaise crown Prince,Emeka Anyanwu, PDP chairman in Ezinihitte Hon Modestus Njoku.
According to the sponsor of the competition , Chief Summers Nwokie the competition was organised to discover and nurture talents in Mbaise who should be able to export their careers to the big football leagues of the world.The Director General of the foundation, Mr Julius Nneji said

other preliminary matches in the competition will be played in different venues acrose the three Local Government Areas of Mbaise nation as medical and security of the teams have been taken care of by the organsers of the tournament.
