How Man Utd reacted to their Europa League final ticket

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is still on cloud nine after their Europa League final qualification on Thursday.

The English team now have to beat Villarreal in the Europa League.

That achievement won’t get quite the same kudos but it is still silverware.

And Red Devils fans who were in Stockholm in 2017 will remember the celebrations when Jose Mourinho paraded the old Uefa Cup in front of the fans. The atmosphere was fantastic.

“It feels good to be in the final. We played one very, very good half at Old Trafford which has taken us through. It could easily have been 8-6 to them. It was a strange game. We kept giving them the ball but luckily we have one of the the best keepers in the world. We are in the final and are looking forward to 26 May.”

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire to BT Sport: “It’s a great achievement to get to the final. We started the game a bit edgy. It was end to end like basketball and we gave them too many chances in the second half. Now we’ve got to go to the final and win it.

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes: “There was a five-minute spell where Roma could really have got into it. It was a bit dicey and I’m not sure Ole will be thrilled with that second-half performance but in the end, it’s job done.”
