Roma coach, Jose Mourinho, always gives entertaining press conferences, but jokes he is smiling because he had ‘a record of 40 days without interviews.’
The former Inter, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur manager took over at the Stadio Olimpico this summer from Paulo Fonseca and is enjoying his return to Serie A.
However, it seems he was enjoying pre-season training and the summer even more.
“I am smiling because I had a record of 40 days without interviews,” wrote Mou on Instagram.

“Amazing time where I only focused on work and forgot my friends from the press. Today was the day… I had an interview with @officialasroma and you can watch it tomorrow.
“Nothing interesting really to be honest 😂 Love the press, missed them a lot.”
The Serie A season kicks off this weekend, so we’ll see how long it takes for that smile to dissipate into a trademark scowl when taking questions from the Italian media.
