I was not rushed to the hospital-Maradona

Argentina legend Diego Maradona has rubbished reports that he suffered a heart attack and had to be rushed to a nearby hospital after watching as Argentina advanced to the round of 16 on Tuesday night at the Saint Petersburg Arena.

Instead he claimed that he drank to much wine, before being helped away from the VIP box after falsely being declared dead following Argentina’s dramatic win against Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

“Where we were they were only serving white wine. Yes, we drank all the wine, but now I’m talking to you and I’m telling you the truth.”

While denying the hospital claims , Maradona was treated by paramedics right inside the stadium after appearing to collapse.

The 57-year-old also denied death hoax claims that went viral on the social media.

“I swear on the lives of my mum, my grandson Benjamin and my son Dieguito Fernando’s life that nothing happened.”,” said Maradona as he landed Moscow on a private jet this morning.

He however admitted that he defied his doctor’s orders not to watch the game owing to health issues.
