I was not short of offers before signing for Leicester City, says Fofana

Wesley Fofana admitted that he wasn’t short of offers before signing for Leicester City last week.

The former St Etienne defender has joined the Foxes for a fee rising to €35m.

Asked about the move, Fofana told L’Equipe: “There were a lot of other offers.

“If it’s not the biggest, Leicester are a great club where I can play, improve further and thrive 100%.

It showed me that it was doing everything to get me to come. Talking with coach Brendan Rodgers and Kolo Touré, his assistant, was very important to my choice.

“I was greeted in the best possible way. I am sure I made the right choice.”
