Ibrahimovic drops cryptic post amid talks of EPL switch

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken to social media to  tease Leeds fans with a cryptic post amid intense speculation linking him with the Premier League club.

The 38-year-old Swedish striker returned to AC Milan in January and has scored an impressive 11 times in 20 appearances across all competitions last season.

But Ibrahimovic hasn’t penned an extension with Milan and is expected to leave the San Siro this summer.

Leeds were linked with the former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain star during the January transfer window.

And now Ibrahimovic’s latest post on social media has caught the attention of many fans about his potential club future.

The former Sweden international posted on Instagram Stories a first-person view from what appears to be a boat.

And Ibrahimovic dropped a simple message accompanying his post: “Next destination.”

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani only admitted last month that it could be “too late” to bring Ibrahimovic to Elland Road.

“Ibrahimovic will certainly be difficult,” he said.

“We tried to sign him in January, but he chose to join Milan and the deal vanished.

“Now I think it’s too late, the intensity of English football is different.”

Ibrahimovic, who turns 39 in October, has suggested that it is unlikely he will remain in Italy for the new season.

“I still have three games, still 10 days, nobody said anything to me and I don’t expect anything else,” he said last month.

“There are things that we cannot control, but that seems strange to me, but we are doing great things.

“We play with great confidence and we believe in what we do. I’m working, I’m fine, the team is fine and doing good things.

“When I arrived we are second or third in the standings, it means it is not bad.”
