Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to group training this morning while Simon Kjaer is still training apart.
The Swede had picked up an injury in Milan’s 3-1 win away at Napoli in November but could be eligible to play against Sassuolo on Sunday as he returned to group training this morning, according to MilanNews and Calciomercato.com.
A final decision about Ibrahimovic’s availability against Sassuolo will be taken tomorrow morning.
Simon Kjaer looks unlikely to take part in the game as he trained apart from the rest of the team.
The Dane picked up a muscle injury against Celtic at the beginning of December leaving Stefano Pioli short of options at the back.

Matteo Gabbia has also sustained an injury, therefore Alessio Romagnoli, Pierre Kalulu, and Mateo Musacchio are the only fit centre-backs at the moment.
The Rossoneri have only kept four clean sheets in 12 Serie A games and according to reports in Italy they will try to sign a new centre-back in the January transfer window.
