The NFF election comes up in September this year close to two months to the World cup in Qatar which Nigeria unfortunately failed to qualify for after losing two legged play-off against Black Stars of Ghana.

Non qualification of the Eagles has divided the fans with some saying it is better they did not qualify as over two billion naira  would have been squandered on logistics with little or no guarantee that the Eagles will get to knockout stage.

Others however took it from the angle of national pride saying having the nations flag hoisted at the venue of the world cup is a huge honour that cannot be quantified.
