Ideye opens Goztepe goal account in pre-season win

Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye netted on his debut game for Turkish Super Lig side Goztepe in a pre-season 2-1 win over Menemenspor on Saturday,

The 2013 AFCON winner Ideye broke the deadlock after 17 minutes in his first start for Goztepe in the friendly game played at the Zafer Stadı.

Four minutes before the break, Akbunar added a second for coach Ersan Parlatan-tutored side, but Firat reduced the deficit for Menemenspor on the stroke of halftime.

The 31-year-old Ideye completed a two-year switch to Goztepe last week from Greek side Aris Saloniki on a free transfer and will looking forward to fire his new side to success when hostilities commence in the Turkish topflight.
