IDOKO: Winning NPFL title an act of God

Lobi Stars Vice Chairman Mike Idoko has described the NPFL League crown awarded to club as an act of God to wipe away the tears of Benue people having suffered series of killings in the state of recent.

Idoko while speaking to Sportinglife.ng in Abuja, said he owes the success of the team to God and the
Governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom for the total support given to the team throughout their campaign
in the just concluded premier league.

He said knowing the task ahead of the CAF Champions League, the management of the club will engage
the players and technical crew in a seminar to acquaint them with the new rules in continental
competitions.

The former Sunshine Stars f.c team manager revealed that arrangements has been concluded with top grade coaches, FIFA referees on the new rules, and a Psychologist to lecture the players.

Idoko also stated that the club will use Aper Aku stadium for the continental matches which the
Governor has directed for the renovation work to commence immediately especially the dressing rooms.

” I must sincerely thank God for the victory but I want to beg Nigerians to support the team.
I want to beg for the cooperation of Nigerians to assist the team and clubs whenever we ask for their players. Our mission is to win the CAF Champions League trophy for the country”. Idoko said.
