Idrissa Gueye rejects Newcastle loan move

Initial report had claimed Paris Saint-German had reached an agreement with Steve Bruce’s side over a move,

but  Gueye has reportedly turned down the chance to join the Magpies.

The former Everton star is not against the idea of returning to the Premier League but has no interest in joining Bruce’s side  who are 15th in the top-flight table.

Gueye joined Ligue 1 giants PSG in 2019 in a £30million switch from the Toffees.

He made an impressive start to life in France under the management of Thomas Tuchel.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino however wanted to   offload him to raise funds.

Gueye, who is under contract until 2023, has made 16 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

Bruce’s side could turn their attention to Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham.

Newcastle have been heavily linked to him but face competition from West Brom.
