With Just three days to the commencement of the Russia 2018 World Cup, Odion Ighalo says the Super Eagles will get the desired results.

The former Watford forward has been unable to find the back of the net for the national team in the last two friendly matches against England and Czech Rep having been rested earlier in the Congo DR game in Port Harcourt.

Ighalo took time out to explain to SportingLife.ng in an exclusive interview at the Avita Resort in Bad Tatzmannsdorf here in Austria that there will be no margin for errors when they start their campaign at the World Cup.

“Everything has been going on fine in camp. We’ve been working very hard and we are angry in spirit that we didn’t win our last two friendly matches”

“It’s positive news for us because now we have to correct some mistakes and give 100% in everything we are doing to prepare for the tournament. We are going into the World Cup and no more excuses will be tolerated” he said

On his failure to score in the last two games he featured for the Eagles, the ex-Granada of Spain attacker does not want that to put him under pressure.

“I’m not under pressure to score goals all the time because football is all about team work. It’s eleven versus eleven.

” Like a typical striker, I want to score goals but sometimes it doesn’t go your way. Midfielders or even defenders can score to help the team win matches.

“But what I can assure is that I will always put the team ahead of my target to score by working very hard anytime I have the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles

” If I score fine but if I don’t the most important thing is for the team to win” Ighalo who is making his first appearance at the World Cup added.
