Ighalo falls with Shenhua despite scoring
Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo finally got on the scorer’s sheet but it was not enough to save Shanghai Shenhua from going down in a week 2 fixture in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
Playing host to Hebbei CFFC at the Hongkou Stadium, Shenhua lost 2-1 thus condemning them to their second consecutive defeat of the season.
Ighalo who fired blank in their opening match against Shanghai SPIG last weekend drew level for Shenhua four minutes after Moroccan striker Ayoub Elkabi had given the visitors the lead before the hour mark.
It was his first goal for Shenhua this season after quitting relegated side Changchun Yatai.
