Ighalo works out on treadmill as he resumes training

Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo who missed the country’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa is back to training one month after sustaining a hamstring injury.

The striker who is the team’s highest goal scorer in the afcon qualifier with six goals got injured while in action for club, Changchun Yatai, in a Chinese Super League match.

On Tuesday the player who scored 21 goals in the just concluded Chinese Super League posted a short video of hims working out on the treadmill and stationary bicycle on Twitter. “Gradually Getting Back To Full Recovery 💪🏼🇳🇬🔥#Ighalo. He finished behind Shanghai SIPG’s Lei Wu who scored 27 goals.

The Nigerian whose club were relegated at the end of the season is one of the 34 players shortlisted for the 2018 African Player Of the Year Award

It however remains to be seen if Ighalo will play in the lower league or move to another club when the new seaon kicks off.
