Iheanacho, Maduka, Musa to hit Benin Tuesday for Sierra Leone

The trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa and Maduka Okoye will be in Benin, the Edo state capital for this Friday’s 2021 AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone.

The players are already in Nigeria for the first leg scheduled for the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.

Okoye who is eyeing another start after been between the sticks for Nigeria’s international friendly against Tunisia last month was in action for Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam at the weekend.

Head coach Gernot Rohr, his assistants and members of the backroom staff are expected to be in Benin today ahead of players arrival.

Meanwhile, Midtjylland midfielder Frank Onyeka has been replaced by Shehu Abdullahi due to injury.

The Eagles top Group L on six points after two games while Sierra Leone are bottom with just a point.
