Iheanacho slammed on social media after missing equaliser
Kelechi Iheancho has continued to attract heavy criticism for his woeful season in the English Premier League with Leicester City and uncertainty clogs the head of the Super Eagles player for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation tournament in Egypt.
The 22-year old player spent most of the current EPL season on the bench with records showing that he started only nine times for the Foxes, and in his last game against Manchester City on Monday he became vilified by fans after he squandered a golden opportunity to level scores in the dying minutes of the game.
This has made some sport enthusiasts and football analysts to reckon that the ace striker maybe ‘match rusty’ and consequently may not catch the fancy of the Eagles’ German handler, Gernor Rohr as the 2019 Nations Cup beckons with the coach set to release a 27-man list to Eagles camp. The list will later be trimmed to the final 23-man squad for the June showdown.
