for the 2019-2020 NPFL season and, the newly appointed gaffer of the Owerri side noted that work has
begun in earnest to ensure that Heartland is ready for the commencement of the season.
He said he knows that he has a lot to do to put the team in shape and that he has mapped out strategies to
ensure that Heartland does not struggle in the coming season.
“I do not have any problem with the date that has been suggested by the LMC for the start of the league
season,” Ilechukwu toldSportingLife.
“It is a blessing for us that we now know when the season will start and what to do with our time. We are
working on ensuring that we have a well-prepared team for the season. It is our mission that we do not
