Ilechukwu wants concerted effort to succeed with Heartland

control of clubHeartland new coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has enjoined all in the club to work as a synergy to enable the task of revitalizing the team easier for him.
The gaffer stated this while he was introduced to the players on Wednesday before he formally took charge of the Naze Millionaires in Okigwe.
Ilechukwu who ended his 13 years romance with MFM FC before sealing a three year deal with Heartland thanked the board and the management of the team for finding him worthy of selection to tinker the former
league champions but he noted that all hands must be on deck to ensure that he perform the task to his best.
He said he would need the support of all to excel and he called on his players to rally round him to ensure he builds a formidable side that can compete both in the domestic league and on the continent.
“I want to indeed say that I am happy to be here to serve this team with rich past record,” Ilechukwu told SportingLife.
“I am glad that I was picked by the board and the management to be at the centre of revamping the team. I will try my best to ensure that we achieve our objective at the end of the season.
I will need the support of all to ensure that I succeed. We must all contribute our quota to make the club great again.
“I need the players to play their part too. They must be able to draw the line between play and work. We must be serious with everything that we do and everyone must contribute their part to make us achieve
our aim.”
Speaking earlier on the General Manager of the team, Ifeanyi Chukwudi promised to make the players’ welfare his main priority stressing that his management team is poised to reciprocate the gesture of the
Governor of the state, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha by returning the team’s glorious days.
Chukwudi further affirmed that Ilechukwu calls the shot in terms of technical matters and he promised that there won’t be any interference with his duties.
The interim skipper of the team, Uche Oguchi appreciated the general manager for his kind gestures to the team since his appointment while promising that the players are ready to partner with the new management to take the club to greater heights.
