Inter Milan are pushing Chelsea to drop their price for Emerson.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are unprepared to meet Chelsea’s £17million valuation of Emerson, but are willing to remain patient to get the best deal for the club.
The Brazilian full-back is out of contract at Stamford Bridge next summer, something Inter are looking to take full advantage of.
Emerson’s value will only decrease from now until 2022, meaning Chelsea must either cash in while they can or face the prospect of losing the 26-year-old for nothing.
Napoli are also said to be interested, but it is the Serie A champions who are currently leading the chase.
The reports adds that it it is ‘logical to imagine’ that Inter will not make any formal advances to Chelsea for the defender until after the Euros, when they’re in a better position to spend.
