Inzaghi: ‘I will discuss with Lotito in nine days’

Lazio coach, Simone Inzaghi, said he will sit down with President Claudio Lotito in ‘eight or nine days’ but was ‘very happy’ after the 1-0 win over Parma.

Ciro Immobile scored far into stoppages to secure three points against newly relegated Parma on Wednesday and keep Lazio in the battle for top four.

“I’m very happy about the win,” Inzaghi told the reporters after the game. “We were very afraid of today’s match.

“Two years ago we fell against a team already relegated and today we had many disqualified, injured and players not in shape.

“We secured the win and are in Europe for the fifth consecutive year. In the first half we could have been luckier, it would have been another match if Luis Alberto’s shot had gone in.”

Lazio still have three games to go, including the postponed second leg against Torino, due to coronavirus.

Inzaghi revealed he will then discuss the season and the future targets with the sporting director and patron.

“There are still three games to go. In eight or nine days we will sit down with Tare and Lotito, and talk about the goals, what we didn’t manage and what we did.

“Always with the utmost peace of mind.”
