Iroegbunam joins Everton from Aston Villa

Everton are on the verge of confirming the signing of English-born Nigerian midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.

The 20-year-old Tim Iroegbunam  emerged through Aston Villa’s ranks, making his Premier League debut in February 2022.

He made 9 league appearances for Villa last season, contributing to their fourth-place finish in the Premier League and qualification for the UEFA Champions League.

According to reports from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on social media posts, Aston Villa and Everton have completed the transfer agreement.

Iroegbunam is set to join Everton on a permanent basis following a successful medical on Thursday.

The deal is expected to bolster Everton’s midfield options, providing Iroegbunam with increased playing opportunities at the highest level of English football.

With potential departures looming, including that of Andre Onana, the addition of Iroegbunam to Everton is a valuable addition to their squad.

Both clubs are now in the final stages of reviewing the necessary paperwork to officially conclude the transfer, marking a significant move for the England U20 international of Nigerian international.
