Isco leaves Real Madrid training with fever-like symptoms

Isco has been one of the notable names from Real Madrid’s pre-season so far, with the midfielder doing his best to impress head coach Carlo Ancelotti, but Wednesday saw him have to leave the training session after just a few minutes.

The 29-year-old was experiencing fever-like symptoms and, having tested negative in two PCR tests, it is thought that he has had a reaction to the COVID-19 vaccine that he and some of his teammates had on Monday.

There was good news for Ancelotti during the training session as Rodrygo Goes was able to complete part of the session, while Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz trained on their own.

Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy, meanwhile, remained inside the facilities at Valdebebas as they continue their recovery from injury.

The Real Madrid players present for Wednesday morning’s session began their work in the gym before going out onto the pitches, where Ancelotti had them do some rondos before working on pressing and possession exercises.

The second phase of training saw a small-sided match take place, which was followed by shots at goal.

On Wednesday evening, at 18:00 CEST, Ancelotti will put his Real Madrid players through their paces in the second training session of the day.
