Italian referee to handle England, Nigeria friendly 

Italian referee Marco Guida will be in charge of Saturday’s glamour friendly between the Three Lions of
England and the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Wembley Stadium.

 

The English FA has also appointed Guida’s compatriots Riccardo Di Fiore and Alessandro Giallatini
(Assistant Referees) and Davide Massa (Fourth Official), as well as Michael Fabbri (Video Assistant
Referee) and Giulio Dobosz (Assistant Video Assistant Referee) as his assistants.

Guida who became a referee in 1996 officiated the Serbia, Morocco friendly game on March, 3, 2018 which the
North Africans won 2-1.

At 36, Guida has refereed 24 matches in Europe amongst them the Europa League matches between Osijek
and FC Luzern and the KV Oostende versus Olympique Marseille matches in 2017.

The match, which is the penultimate pre-World Cup friendly for both teams before their first matches in
Russia, will start at 5.15pm UK time.
