Iwobi: Arsenal were lucky to score against Huddersfield

Nigeria forward, Alex Iwobi has admitted that Arsenal were fortunate to break Huddersfield’s water tight defence to get the winning goal that help maintain their unbeaten run.

An 83rd minute volley from Uruguay international, Lucas Torreira’s  made sure the Gunners who have gone 21 games this season remain unbeaten.

While praising his teammates for the fighting spirit, Iwobi who came in for veteran defender, Stephan Lichtsteiner in the second half also commended the fans for their support.

“It was actually a difficult match; knowing fully well that Huddersfield Town players actually created a defence lock down, which made it difficult for us to create opening for goals.

“We were fortunate enough that at the end of the day, we got the only goal that gave us the three points in the match. “Our aim is to keep pushing to ensure we actually finish the season as top three.

“We drew against Manchester United and we knew we cannot afford to draw or lose at home against Huddersfield,” concluded the player.
