Iwobi may start from the bench against Crystal Palace

Alex Iwobi may start from the bench when Arsenal comes up against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park on Sunday in a Premier League clash, according to permutations by some UK reports.

The Nigeria international who was an 86th minute subsittute against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League on Thursday could again replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the course of the game.

According to Sports Mole of the UK Arsenal manager Unai Emery could stick to Ozil, Lacazette, Aubameyang and Mirkhatayan upfront as he seeks to extend his winning record to 12. Ozil had a hand in all three goals against Leicester City on Monday night and should return after being rested for the Lisbon game.

Victory against Palace will leave the Gunners just three victories short of their all-time record of 14 successive wins.

The Gunners have taken maximum points from every game since mid-August to leave themselves in fourth place, just two points off Manchester City and Liverpool heading into game week 10.

Bookmakers have also predicted that Emery could have a change of mind and start Iwobi who played 90 minutes against Leicester City to earn the Man of the Match award.

Aaron Ramsey’s 90-minute stint in Lisbon also suggests that the Welshman may be forced to settle for a place on the bench once again.
