New Everton signing Alex Iwobi has picked jersey number 17 that he wore at Arsenal, the club’s official website has announced.
The Toffees released the numbers allocated to players for the new on the website with Iwobi opting for the jersey vacated by Senegal international, Idrissa Gueye.
Gueye who was on international duty with the Teranga Lions in Egypt has since signed for French champions, PSG.
Iwobi must have opted for the number owing to the fact that it was the same jersey number that he wore three seasons ago.
Other players who also wore the number at the Goodison Park are Romelu Lukaku,
Muhamed Besic, Tim Cahill, Scot Gemmill, Francis Jeffers, Gareth Farrelly, Andrey Kanchelskis and Anders Limpar.
