Jake Paul made fortune from Bitcoin before boxing career

Jake Paul made a £70 investment at the age of 16 that has earned him thousands.

The popular YouTuber and aspiring professional boxer is currently preparing for his bout against former UFC Welterweight Ben Askren, with eyes on Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Taking some time out of his strict training regime, the younger of the Paul brothers has offered his Twitter followers some advice about future investments.

In doing so, Jake revealed how he is reaping the rewards of an investment opportunity that came his way back in 2013 thanks to social media platform Vine – and his future plans.

Having been offered $100 worth of Bitcoin in a brand deal, that sum is now worth an astonishing $46,000, which equates to £33,000 from a £70 investment.

He said: “When I was 16 I invested my entire first Vine brand deal into #Bitcoin when it was worth $100

“After 8 years of holding. It’s now worth $46,000.”

Speaking on the I AM ATHLETE podcast, Paul said when asked who would be easier to beat between McGregor and Mayweather: “Conor, Conor is way easier than Floyd.

“Conor is way easier than Floyd and Conor, just like Ben Askren is doing currently, Conor will underestimate me, he’ll come into the ring, be like ‘this is an easy payday’.

“He just doesn’t have that hunger anymore, that’s why he got starched in his last fight, it’s because he has everything.
