Joe Aribo ‘not interested’ in  contract Extension with Rangers

Super Eagles ace, Joe Aribo is not interested in extending his contract with Scottish League side Rangers it has been revealed.

The former Charlton Athletic man is under contract with the Light Blues until the summer of 2023, with the Scottish club recently holding talks with the player’s representatives over a new deal.

Interest in Aribo is thought to be high. The Daily Mail reported last month that Premier League trio Brentford, Watford and Crystal Palace were all targeting the Gers star.

The Nigeria international has made over 100 appearances for Rangers and was a key player as they won their first league title in a decade last term.

However, according to All Nigeria Soccer, Aribo ‘is not interested in extending his stay beyond the end of next season’.

It is unclear if the Scottish champions will opt to cash in on the 25-year-old or not. With Premier League clubs circling, it will be difficult to convince the player to stay in Glasgow.

Aribo is likely to feature for Nigeria at next month’s Africa Cup of Nations.
