Joshua makes first offer to Miller after Wilder talks collapses

Anthony Joshua’s team have now made an opening offer to American heavyweight Jarrell Miller for a title fight in New York, according to reports.

The unified champion has seemingly failed to secure his top two desired opponents – Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury – meaning he’s now been forced to switch focus and is considering alternative options.

Joshua is currently scheduled to defend his WBA, IBF and WBO belts at Wembley Stadium on April 13, but according to Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger, he could scrap this plan to instead fight Miller.

The proposed US debut would take place at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York on June 1.

Meanwhile, Dillian Whyte is still in talks to be AJ’s opponent, having previously slammed initial offers he’d received for the fight.

After his win over Dereck Chisora on December 22, Whyte called out Joshua who was watching from ringside.

Joshua told his rival he would face him if Wilder and Fury agreed a rematch, which is now looking increasingly likely.

Whyte posted a video on his Instagram story on Monday morning, explaining he has imminent meetings scheduled with Eddie Hearn and Sky Sports.
