Joshua swaps ring for GQ anniversary party

Heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua took a break from the ring for the red carpet at Monday evening’s anniversary party of British magazine, GQ.

The 29-year-old heavyweight champion, who has been cooling off after overcoming Russian Alexander Povetkin last month, attended the 30th birthday celebration of the magazine at the Sushisamba in London.

Dressed in navy pinstripe suit, Joshua was all smiles as he posed for photos on the red carpet before the event.

Joshua was later seen partying with celebrities such as Dylan Jones and Claudia Winkleman at the exclusive Covent Garden venue.

Born Joseph Bayley Temiloluwa Prince Joshua on October 6, 2015, three-year-old JJ joined his father on a bike in a promotional image released by the magazine.

Back in the ring, speculation persists over the heavyweight’s next opponent after fellow Brit Tyson Fury secured a lucrative deal to face American Deontay Wilder in December.

It is widely anticipated that the winner of that fight will face Joshua in spring 2019, with a potential IBF mandatory following after that.

Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev set himself up as the most likely opponent by beating another Briton in Hughie Fury — Tyson’s cousin — by unanimous points on Saturday.

Pulev had been due to fight Joshua in Cardiff last year only to pull out shortly before the clash through injury.
