Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte discussed a future rematch during a chance meeting amid plans to settle their long-term feud ‘once and for all’.
The British duo have been rivals since their early amateur days and clashed in the professional ranks in 2015, with Joshua emerging victorious to claim the vacant British title and keep his unbeaten record intact.
Both fighters have expressed on multiple occasions their desire to fight one more time, but first recognize that they must win again after falling to a pair of devastating losses.
Just over a week after Whyte suffered a brutal stoppage loss to WBC champion Tyson Fury in front of a record crowd of 94,000 at Wembley Stadium, Whyte found himself another heavyweight leading man in Joshua.

‘The Body Snatcher’, who was stopped by an uppercut for the third time in his career, posted a photo of the heavyweight rivals on his social media platforms.
“Catch up with my old enemy Anthony Joshua talking about the rematch in the future and finally settling scores once and for all,” he wrote in the post. “But first we have to get back to winning form.”
Joshua is currently preparing for the biggest fight of his career, with his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk scheduled for July 23 this summer, although no official announcement regarding the date or venue has yet been made.
The two-time heavyweight champion suffered the second loss of his career last year, as he was outpointed by the Ukrainian mastermind at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September.
The ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine initially raised uncertainty about the expected rematch, but Usyk, who had enlisted in the kyiv Territorial Defense, in March left his homeland to begin training.
Promoter Eddie Hearn provided an update in April, stating: “We are in final negotiations with sites in the Middle East and the UK.
“We look at the United States, but I don’t think that’s where it will take place. I would like to be in a position, the week of the Canelo fight, where we have some news.
