JT mansion set to get tennis court/swimming pool

John Terry has revealed the major building work that is underway at his mansion as the Chelsea legend prepares to install a new swimming pool and tennis court at his Surrey home.

Sharing videos on his Instagram profile, Terry showcased the transformation that is underway in his garden while workers were on site.

The 40-year-old was pictured at the scene of the £4.35million mansion sporting a hi-his jacket with the number 26 on the back, which he wore throughout his playing career.

Terry moved into his current home in July 2019 and has completed previous building work prior to this latest development.

It’s understood that the Aston Villa assistant manager is also planning to replace his current garage with a larger one to house his extensive car collection.

Last summer it emerged that Terry had put forward the idea of an outdoor party space and to construct new garage space, though plans were quickly brought to a halt by unhappy neighbours.

One neighbour wrote to Guildford Council’s planning officer, stating: “The nature of swimming pool activity with a covered outdoor seating with a bar means there are likely to be noise nuisance issues preventing residents from having peaceful enjoyment of their properties.

“The provision of a heating source also enables this space to be used year-round which would provide the neighbours with no respite from noise nuisance throughout the year.
