Junior Ajayi eyes CAF Champions League title

 

Olympic Bronze medalist Junior Ajayi has eyes set on a second CAF Champions League title as Egyptian giants Al Ahly tackle first time finalists Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday in Casablanca.

Ajayi who joined Al Ahly in 2016 from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien already has Champions league title won in the 2019–20 season in the kitty and will be making it a double should nine-time winners realise their dream of clinching the tenth title at the expense of the South Africa side which has Super Eagles goalie Daniel Akpeyi on parade.

Al Ahly Pitso Mosimane while naming his squad for the final showdown said he is determined to help the Egyptian side pocket a 10th title.

The Cairo giants will be going into the game with a lot of expectations as they aim for their 10th Champions League glory, unlike Kaizer Chiefs, who will take part in their first-ever final.

Al Ahly qualified after crossing the Esperance hurdle in the semi-finals, on the other side Kaizer Chiefs eliminated Wydad Casablanca in their journey to the final.Aside from Champions league title Ajayi also boasts of four Egyptian league titles in the kitty and FIFA club world Cup third place.
