JUST-IN: Injury stops Etebo from Nigeria friendly games

Oghenekaro Etebo will not be on parade during the Super Eagles friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia no thanks to injury, Sportinglife.ng reports.

According to release on the Nigeria Football Federation official Twitter handle on Monday, October 5, the on-loan Stoke midfielder cropped the injury while in action in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray in their loss at Kasimpasa on Sunday.

“Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo is out of the friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia. He picked up a knock in his club’s game in Turkey yesterday.”

At the last count, Victor Osimhen has also been ruled out of action against the North Africans after he was left out due to Covid-19 concerns at Napoli.

The former Golden Eaglets forward’s spot has since been taken by in-form striker Paul Onuachu.
