JUST IN: South Africa claim last World cup ticket beat Tunisia 1-0

 

It was another lone goal affair as Bayana Bayana of South Africa edged out their Tunisian counterparts to pick the last ticket to the FIFA Women World Cup in 2023 in New Zealand/Australia.

The South Africans zoomed into the semifinals of the ongoging WAFCON in Morocco following the lone goal victory over Tunisia few minutes ago.

The girls from the Rainbow nation  had an impressive run from the group stage till the semifinals and are yet to lose a match.  They opened their campaign in style beating favorites and perennial WAFCON winners Super Falcons by a lone goal in Rabat.

They will now take on Zambia in Monday’s semifinal while Nigeria face hosts Morocco in the second semis. The interesting thing is that all four teams have world cup ticket in the pocket and will now be playing for placement and the continental trophy.

The falcons are gunning for their tenth title even as some analysts say it will be total war if the hit the final and South Africa equally make it for mother of all re-match.
