Juventus ‘join Real Madrid, Bayern Munich’ in race for young Tottenham striker

Juventus have reportedly entered the race to sign exciting young talent Troy Parrott, as Spurs look to fend off interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for the teenager.

According to Calcio Mercato, Parrott is in high demand having impressed Mauricio Pochettino during pre season games against Real Madrid, Inter and Juve.

The 17-year-old also enjoyed a hugely succesful international break with Ireland’s U21s, scoring three goals in two games against Armenia and Sweden.

Parrott has been compared to fellow Irishman Robbie Keane in terms of playing style and potential, with Ireland’s record goalscorer enjoying arguably his finest spell in his career at White Hart Lane.

It is believed that Pochettino is wary of letting the youngster leave all to easily, having seen another young talent – Marcus Edwards – leave the north London club to join Portuguese outfit Vitória de Guimarães after growing tired of a lack of first team opportunities.

Despite a couple of spells on the sideline due to injury, Parrott had a fine season for Tottenham’s Under-18 side in the Premier League, scoring 14 goals in nine Under-18 Premier League outings as Spurs finished second in the table.

The Irish youngster also bagged three goals in five appearances during the Under-19 UEFA Youth League last season.
