Juventus make first Locatelli offer

Juventus have reportedly made an offer of €30m plus defender Radu Dragusin for Sassuolo and Italy midfielder Manuel Locatelli.

The 23-year-old has long been on the radar for Juve and was close to a move to Turin last summer as well.

It is precisely because of that near miss that many in Italy believe Locatelli has his heart set on the Bianconeri.

However, Sassuolo need to be convinced and the asking price will only have increased after his great performances at Euro 2020, including a brace in the 3-0 win over Switzerland.

According to Goal.com, Juve are wary of a bidding war and want to get the deal done before his profile rises any further.

Their first real proposal is worth €30m plus Dragusin, a 19-year-old defender from their youth academy.

The Romanian has also been linked with a loan move to Genoa.

However, the asking price for Locatelli is at least €40m and rising all the time, so this is probably just an opening offer.
