Juventus undecided over Dybala, Ronaldo’s future

Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved insists they have ‘plenty of time’ to agree a Paulo Dybala contract extension, while Cristiano Ronaldo ‘will stay with us.’

The Bianconeri opened their season this afternoon with a 3-1 friendly win over Cesena, although many of their top stars were not taking part.

Dybala watched on from the touchline, as he is out of action with a slight muscular problem.

A meeting with his agent is expected over the next few days to discuss the contract, which is due to expire in June 2022.

“(Director Federico) Cherubini has already been in contact with his agent, who will arrive in Turin next week,” Nedved told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are in good time to get the situation resolved, it’s not a problem.”

Nedved was also asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, as reports continue to push him towards Paris Saint-Germain as part of a transfer merry-go-round.

“Ronaldo will return to training on Monday and he will stay with us,” assured the former midfielder.

Giorgio Chiellini is a free agent, as his contract already expired on June 30, and his agent said there have been no talks yet.

“When he returns from his summer vacation, then we can talk.”

Coach Max Allegri has returned to the Turin giants two years after his surprise dismissal.

“He is back with great enthusiasm and hunger,” added Nedved.
