Kane combined perfectly with Raheem Sterling who controlled and returned the ball to the England captain who fired with his left foot from the edge of the box for the second goal.

Gary Cahill gave the Three Lions the lead in the opening minutes.

Alex Iwobi scored for Nigeria in the second half after capitalising on an Odion Ighalo shot that hit the base of the goalpost.  It was also the first time England had conceded a goal in over 11 hours of football.
