Kane loses Range Rover to thieves via electronic device

 

England captain Harry Kane’s £100,000 Range Rover has been stolen from outside an address in east London, according to reports.

The Sun claim thieves used an electronic device to open the £100,000 car in Chingford, before making off with it.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed receiving a report of stolen vehicle from outside a residential property in recently.

“Officers contacted the victim and carried out inquiries. No suspects were identified,” a statement from the force said.

The Met said the investigation had been closed, adding: “If any further investigative or evidential opportunities are established this will be reviewed.”

It is believed a gang targeted Kane’s vehicle after being filmed driving past it on several occasions.

He is the third Tottenham player to be robbed in recent months, with team-mate Dele Alli and former Spurs star Jan Vertonghen also the subject of attacks from armed raiders.

Alli was held at knifepoint during a raid of his north London home back in May, while Vertonghen’s property was broken into by armed robbers when he was away playing in the Champions League out in Germany.

Sources close to Kane say he was warned by police that his stolen Range Rover is unlikely to be recovered after an investigation failed to identify any suspects.

They are said to have told the striker that there is little chance of finding the culprits because of the “sophisticated” technology used to steal the motor.
